SOUTH BEND, Ind.—St. Joseph County Police are searching for a suspect after a 21-year-old man was shot on Tuesday at the Castle Point Apartments.
Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Royal Huntsman Court at the Castle Point Apartments around 10:40 p.m. after reports of several gunshots heard.
When police arrived, they found multiple shell casings in the parking lot.
Officers located 21-year-old Devonte Cropes with a gunshot wound to his lower leg, who was inside of an upper level apartment at the time of the shooting.
Cropes was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking for a suspect described as a male dressed in all black, who was seen running from the parking lot. A gold colored vehicle was also seen leaving the area.
