STURGIS, Mich. -- A resident of Prospect Street left his pickup truck running in his driveway when a man got into the vehicle and drove away, according to Sturgis Police.

The victim told police he left his truck running in the driveway around 5 a.m. when a man dressed in black got into the truck, reports said.

When the victim opened the door to stop the suspect, the suspect pointed a gun at the truck's owner, reports said.

The vehicle is described as a white 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with a dent in the passenger side door. Its Michigan license plate number is CKR2762.
