Dollar General announces first hour of shopping day dedicated to senior citizens
Dollar General Corporation on Monday announced its plans to dedicate the first hour of each shopping day to senior citizens.
Other customers are being encouraged to plan shopping trips around this time to allow at-risk customers like senior citizens time to shop while avoiding large crowds.
The company also plans to amend store hours to give employees time to clean and restock shelves.
Each store will plan to close one hour earlier than current closing time. Local store hours can be found here.
The company did not say how long the initiative will last.
