SOUTH BEND, Ind. - B100 morning host, Brittney Baily, is organizing a donation drive for the Smith family Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene on Ironwood. The Smith family is dealing with the tragic loss of five children from a house fire.
Organizers are hoping for hygiene products and gift cards to help the Smith family refurnish their home.
They're also accepting items including kitchenware, clothing, and other household items.
Brittney Baily stated, "This is such a wound in Michiana being the deadliest fire in South Bend history. So, this is a time when South Bend can come together and Michiana in general, and just show how generous we can be."
If you can't come out Saturday, there's a GoFundMe to donate to, which has already raised over $10,000.
You can also go to any 1st Source Bank and donate through the Smith Family Foundation or Smith Family Fund.
