MISHAWAKA, Ind.-- The City of Mishawaka is proud to announce the launch of its Downtown Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at Ironworks Plaza.
The kick-off event will feature the first official DORA vendors: Sun King Brewery, Public House, and Social Cantina.
DORA program will allow patrons to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating vendors and enjoy them while strolling through the designated downtown area.
“The DORA will create a more vibrant and engaging atmosphere, giving residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy our growing downtown scene in a fun and responsible way. I invite everyone to join us for the launch and experience what this new initiative brings to our city.” said Mayor Wood
Beverages must be purchased from designated vendors and carried in marked cups within the defined area, which stretches across downtown Mishawaka.
Participating businesses will display signs to indicate their involvement in the program.
