Dowagiac police chase ends with car crash

DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- Dowagiac police engaged in a short chase that ended in a crash.
On Saturday night, police attempted to make a speeding traffic stop on East Prairie Ronde Street, but the driver fled.
The vehicle was traveling too fast and slid off the road, striking the front of a house. The driver ran through several yards, but police caught up to him a short time later.
No one was home at the time of the crash.
