Warm weather leads to NIBCO Water and Ice Park closing

ELKHART, Ind. -- Mayor Tim Neese has invited Elkhart residents to visit NIBCO Water and Ice Park before it official’s closes for the season on Monday the 19th.

According to park officials this is the last weekend the park will be open due to warming weather.

The park will be open Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6p.m. to 10 p.m.

On Sunday, the last day of festivities, the park will be open from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

During the 2017-18 season the NIBCO Water and Ice Park was open for 42 days and saw nearly 5,000 visitors of all ages.

Mayor Tim Neese and the Elkhart Parks and Recreation Department extended their gratitude to all who visited and look forward to seeing even more skaters downtown next season.
