Big stars out at game 4 of NBA Finals down in Indianapolis
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Big changes are coming to Beutter Park, Ironworks Plaza, and other areas along the Riverwalk.
The latest round of renovations includes a new ice-skating rink, restaurants, breweries, and an event center to enable residents and visitors alike to enjoy everything that the downtown core has to offer.
Holiday festivities are already being planned for the new spaces.
"Once we get that done we are going to do a major festival to kick it off, a Winter Fest," said Mishawaka Mayor Dave Wood. "We will light a Christmas tree, have a lighted Christmas parade, move our Christmas tree to the to the park, and have a Christmas market and other festivities to get that going."
The construction on the projects currently in the works is scheduled to finish by November.
