Downtown South Bend celebrates ‘Dog Days of Summer’ at this month’s First Fridays

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Downtown South Bend is sending off the summer with September’s First Fridays theme, “Dog Days of Summer.”

This month’s event will be held on September 3 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Guests can meet with animal rescue groups and organizations who provide goods and services for animals and have a chance to dine with their dogs at one of South Bend’s 20 downtown pet-friendly patios.

The 200 block of S. Michigan Street will be closed down for the event.
