Dozens of women learn how "beautiful" they are

Over the weekend, dozens of women gathered at the ABC 57 studios, in South Bend, for a powerful message.

Local teen Aundrea Taylor, kicked things off by singing for the group.

She helped introduce the area to “Beautiful I Am” the Michiana chapter of Beautiful Black Girls Incorporated.

The ladies were inspired by several guest speakers, including Miss Black Indiana, Demetria Kelley.

Kelly had a good experience at the event and said, “My experience here was fabulous. Everybody here was so empowering and they inspired me and I just loved it. I feel so educated and inspired and they all touched my heart in some way."

ABC 57’s morning anchor, Keitha Nelson put together the mentoring event. She even gave the girls a tour of our South Bend studios.
