Dr. Jerry Thacker wins State Superintendent of the Year Award

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A Michiana superintendent is the best in the state!

Dr. Jerry Thacker, the superintendent at Penn-Harris-Madison won this year's "State Superintendent of the Year" award.

Thacker says it's because of all the great educators he's worked with over the years.

"I think it’s a tremendous honor that I can share with everyone. There is a triangle of success that connects the students and so we all work very hard at achieving excellence,” said Dr. Jerry Thacker, the PHM Superintendent.

Thacker will now go on to compete for the national title.
