Driver blacks out, crashes into gas station

SHIPSHEWANA, Ind. -- A pick up truck crashed into a Shipshewana gas station Wednesday morning, sending one store employee to the hospital.

Police said the driver of the white Dodge Ram experienced flu like symptoms.

As he pulled into a parking space he blacked out and drove into the Phillips 66 convenience store.

Inside the store was a pregnant clerk who was so startled by the crash, she was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The store is boarded up, but back in business.

Police say the driver is okay and no one was injured.
