Driver crashes into school bus on US 30 and King Road

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A driver who allegedly ran a red light crashed into a school bus that was transporting children home from school, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.

The crash happened Friday afternoon just before 4 p.m. at US 30 and King Road.

Deputies say the bus was northbound on King Road and was crossing US 30 when it was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light.

A few children on the bus suffered minor injuries but none were transported to the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the bus was not injured. He was cited for disregarding a stop light.
