JASPER COUNTY, Ind. -- A Chicago man was injured when his van crashed into a center concrete barrier on I-65 Thursday evening.

Just before 10 p.m., 58-year-old Patrick Regan was driving northbound on I-65 when he failed to shift lanes due to construction and struck the barrier wall head-on. His van then rotated clockwise and came to rest in the center median, according to Indiana State Police.

Regan was airlifted to Christ Advocate Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois for treatment of his injuries.
