Driver killed in crash on 54th Street

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- A driver was killed when his vehicle went off the side of the road and overturned, ejecting the driver, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.
A passerby came upon the crash just after midnight Thursday morning in the 94000 block of 54th Street.
The person located a deceased male in the roadway.
Deputies say the driver, a 28-year-old man, was traveling northbound on 54th Street when his vehicle went off the side of the road and collided with multiple trees.
They believe the vehicle overturned and ejected the driver, reports said.
Speed and alcohol are suspected of being factors in the crash, deputies said.
