Driver killed in crash on US 12 and Detroit Road identified

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- One person was killed and another was injured in a crash on US 12, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies say around 10:15 a.m. 90-year-old Patricia McIntyre attempted to make a left turn onto US 12 and turned in front of an eastbound vehicle.
McIntyre's vehicle was hit on the driver's side.
The other vehicle caught fire following the crash, which was extinguished by bystanders. The driver and two children, ages 5 and 7, were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
McIntyre was pronounced dead at the scene.
