Driver killed in early morning crash on CR 8

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A driver was killed when her vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree early Tuesday morning on CR 8, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 4:15 a.m. on CR 8 just west of CR 131.
Deputies say 18-year-old Jordan Hoff was traveling west on CR 8, ran off the side of the road and struck a tree.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
