Driver leads police on pursuit through Michigan and Indiana

At least one person was arrested after leading multiple agencies on a pursuit that began in Michigan, entered Indiana, then ended in Michigan Monday evening, according to the Indiana State Police.

The pursuit began in St. Joseph County, Michigan, then the vehicle entered Indiana and got onto the Toll Road at the Middlebury exit.

An Indiana State Police trooper spotted the vehicle westbound at mile marker 96 and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The driver did not stop and exited the Toll Road at mile marker 72.

St. Joseph County Police from Indiana joined the pursuit, then the driver crossed into Michigan again.

The vehicle crashed at Stateline and Kenilworth.

Indiana State Police arrived to the scene and took the occupants into custody. Michigan State Police took over the arrest and crash investigation because it happened in Michigan.

Indiana will file charges against the suspect, according to ISP.

The suspect's name has not been released.
