Driver sent to hospital after motorcycle hits two deer

CASS COUNTY, Mich.—A driver was sent to the hospital after his motorcycle hit two deer on Thursday morning, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency crews were called to a motorcycle crash on Monette Street near Brick Church Road in Jefferson Township just before 6 a.m. on Thursday.

Frank Kagel III, 51, of Edwardsburg, was operating his motorcycle when he struck two deer, the sheriff’s office said.

Kagel was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. His condition was not released by police.

Police do not believe that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
