Driver suffers medical emergency, crashes into woods in Cass County

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on Dailey Road, near the M 62 intersection, in LaGrange Township around 8:46 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Authorities' initial investigation determined a Jeep Wrangler, driven by 42-year-old Bradley Schoetzow of Dowagiac, was traveling south on Dailey Road.

The report states Schoetzow had a medical emergency causing his Jeep to leave the roadway.

The Jeep then struck a tree and came to a rest in a ditch.

Schoetzow was then taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital.

Authorities say it's unknown if a seatbelt was worn at the time of the crash. 

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
