Drivers urged to avoid US31 bypass in South Bend

The South Bend Police Department says drivers should avoid US31 because of near white-out conditions.
Police have responded to dozens of slide offs and accidents.
Police say any vehicles that have left the road are being abandoned because recovery efforts would be too dangerous.
