Driveway scam could affect Cass County residents
CASS COUNTY, Mich. – A concerned citizen reported a driveway scam that could affect local residents.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by a resident regarding a scam involving driveway sealing.
According to the citizen, the subjects stopped at the home on Smith Court and quoted a low price to seal their driveway.
The subjects began to work but told the homeowner that it would cost them much more than the original quote.
The victim was not given any written quote for services and they did not provide any identification as to the company the contractor worked for.
The subjects are said to be two males, driving a newer Dodge Ram pickup that is black in color.
The plate was blocked by a tarp or carpeting and no logo was displayed on the vehicle.
The subjects claim to be from Texas.
