Drought puts sprinklers in high demand

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Whether it spins, rotates, or even just pops out of the ground..sprinklers are in high demand during this drought!

We talked with experts at one local home and garden store and they said that sales for these watering devices have been up ever since the first 90 degree day!

And at one point they even ran out of them!

"Normally  they'd go up around this time of the year, mid July to end of August.  This year being that we haven't had any rain since around the beginning of May, they've spiked really, really early," said employee Rob Woelfel.

The store says the most popular type of sprinkler this season is the oscillating variety.
