Drowning on Lake Wawasee

SYRACUSE, Ind. – Around 12 a.m. Sunday morning, authorities were called to a possible drowning on Lake Wawasee.
According to officials, a woman could not find her son who had gone to bed at the residence on N Southshore Drive in Syracuse.
After searching for more than 30 minutes, the woman’s husband found their child in the water near the residence.
When authorities arrived at the scene they attempted CPR and other life saving techniques, but were unable to revive the child.
Indiana DNR officers are currently investigating.
