Drug search warrant leads to large drug seizure in Granger

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – A drug search warrant at a residence in Granger Tuesday led to the discovery of a large amount of illegal drugs, the St. Joseph County Police Department reported.

At 8:30 a.m., a search warrant was performed at a residence in the 15000 block of Monterosa Drive as part of an investigation into drug activity, police said.

While performing the search, officers found approximately 100 pounds of high-grade marijuana, suspected hallucinogenic mushrooms, drug paraphernalia, five firearms, a money counter and over $40,000 in cash, officers said.

At this time, arrests have not been made.

The search and seizure were part of an ongoing investigation, police said.
