Drunk Michigan man steals motorized wheelchair, goes for joyride

UTICA, Mich. -- A Michigan man is facing charges after cops say he went for a joyride on a motorized wheelchair.

Utica police caught 55-year-old Raymond Kulma cruising down the street last week. They say he was clearly drunk, three times over the legal limit and the wheelchair wasn't even his.

He got into an argument with a guy who owned it and took off in the wheelchair.

“I think he needs to be locked up for a little while,” said James Konkel, owner of the wheelchair. “Maybe it will teach him a lesson.

This wasn't Kulma’s first time operating a vehicle when he was drunk. This was his seventh operating while under the influence charge.

Some of them dated back to 1984.
