East Chicago boy killed in train accident

EAST CHICAGO, Ind. -- Police are investigating the death of a Northwest Indiana boy hit by a train over the weekend.
It happened in East Chicago around 3 p.m. Saturday. Police said the boy was waiting for an eastbound train to pass, that's when he was hit by a westbound train on another track.
Police said the crossing signs were working at the time of the accident.
