Eastlake in Nappanee hosts Strongman Competition for cancer victim

NAPPANEE, Ind. -- Eastlake on Nappanee will be hosting a Strongman Competition in honor of Kyler Klein who passed away on June 7,2022 after a 15-month battle with cancer.

Klein was known for his hard work and dedication. Klein was an inspiration to associates because he would put in extreme effort and strength to get to work every day while he was battling cancer.

Eastlake on Nappanee wants to honor and represent Klein's strength by hosting a competition testing strength, power, and endurance.

This is the first year of the annual event. This year's proceeds will go towards the Klein family to help with medical bills that were left behind through his battle with cancer.

Moving forward, proceeds will be benefiting a scholarship fun in Klein's name for students at Northwood High School in Nappanee.

The event is on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Eastlake Athletic Club on Market Street in Nappanee.

The cost to compete is $25 and has to be sent in through a GoFundMe website to the Kyler Klein Benefit.
