Short holiday shopping season leads to retail surge
SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- Eddy Street Commons is hosting its 10th Annual Santa Breakfast and Holiday Happenings on Saturday. Proceeds from the event benefits the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
The festivities start with the Santa Breakfast. There are three, hour long time slots available for the breakfast held at Brothers Bar and Grill at 8:00, 9:00, and 10:00.
There will then be family activities happening on Eddy Street from 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. Some of the entertainment includes magicians, balloon artists, face painters, and carolers.
At 11:45, Santa's Village opens with Story Time with Santa. Then from noon until 1, Santa will available for pictures.
There will also be a chance to win a $250 shopping spree from participating Eddy Street restaurants by bringing in a food donation. Tickets for the Santa Breakfast can be purchased here.
The rest of the event is free and pictures with Santa are $10.
