UPDATE: In September 2023, McCain pleaded guilty to battery resulting in moderate bodily injury as part of a plea agreement. His charge for battery by means of a deadly weapon was dismissed as part of the agreement. His sentencing is scheduled for November 8.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The suspect of the May 3rd shooting on Edison Rd. Has now been identified.
Police arrested Devon McCain, who is facing charges of battery by means of a deadly weapon and battery resulting in serious bodily injury.
The shooting had sent one person to the hospital. He has reportedly made a full recovery.
McCain is currently being held inside the St. Joseph County Jail.
