INDIANAPOLIS – As part of the Lost Wages Assistance program that President Donald Trump signed in, Hoosiers can expect to start receiving an additional $300 in unemployment benefits if they are eligible beginning September 21st.
The LWA is funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and is only available to those who have an unemployment benefit of at least $100 per week and are out of work due to COVID-19.
This funding only covers the six week period from August 1st to September 5th, with payments of it beginning September 21st.
The extra benefits will last until December 6th or until the funding is depleted, whichever happens first.
