ELKHART, Ind. - Elkhart officials are investigating a homicide on the 300 block of 5th Street.
Police say 56-year-old Quinncy Jackson was found behind the home on Saturday afternoon.
According to detectives on scene, he died from a gunshot wound and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Police were called to the home around 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon. The house and the empty lot next door have been blocked off with crime scene tape for the investigation.
Detectives on scene said Jackson's body was found behind the home.
