Elkhart Arbor Day

Do you want to learn more about the city forestry program, the emerald ash borer or how you can get involved in your community? Come out to Central Park in Elkhart on Friday, April 27 at 10 a.m. to celebrate Arbor Day 2012.

Mayor Moore will deliver his annual Arbor Day proclamation and there will be a tree planting and tree care demonstration by the City Forester.

The event will also kick-off the Neighbors Against Bad Bugs (NABB) program in Elkhart and participating individuals will learn to identify ash trees and signs of the emerald ash borer.

The City of Elkhart has proudly been recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City, USA for over 20 years.

Join the Elkhart Environmental Center and the City Forester in Central Park this Arbor Day and help us proclaim our dedication to sustaining a healthy, vibrant city forest. Central Park is located in the heart of Elkhart, on the 300 block of South Main Street.
