Elkhart chapter of Indiana Black Expo announces city-wide 'Trunk or Treat'
ELKHART, Ind. – The Elkhart chapter of Indiana Black Expo announced its city-wide Trunk or Treat happening this Halloween.
Ghouls, goblins, and ghosts are welcomed in the parking lot of the Elkhart Housing Authority located at 1396 Benham Ave in Elkhart as the Elkhart chapter of Indiana Black Expo hosts the "Fall Fest Trunk or Treat".
Local businesses and non-profits will join to hand out candy, host activities, and provide giveaways to area children on October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Chapter President, Robert Taylor, says "We want to provide a safe place for our children to go on Halloween this year and we feel like this is the perfect opportunity for us as a community to step up to bring families and friends together for some fun."
Organizers say there will be costume contests, for a chance to win exciting prizes. There will be categories for kids and adults.
Free hot dogs and popcorn will be available, and a live DJ will be there to entertain.
Admission to the “Trunk or Treat” event is free, and all are welcome to join in the Halloween festivities.
Costumes are highly encouraged.
