Elkhart community rallies to help victims of Hurricane Sandy

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart community came together to join the aid relief effort for those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Donations ranged from bottled water, sleeping bags, cleaning supplies and tools.

"To have such a tragedy so far away that we can't see touch," said coordinator Melissa Kauffman. "We may not fully understand what they're going through, but they're still willing to come and help those people. It's wonderful."

The event at Concord Mall was organized by the Budded On Earth to Bloom in Heaven.
