Elkhart Community Schools job fair set for May 2-3

ELKHART, Ind. – Elkhart Community Schools is hosting a job fair from May 2 to 3 to fill teaching and non-teaching positions.
The fair runs from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day at the Engineering, Technology, and Innovation Building at 2510 California Road in Elkhart.
The May 2 job fair will focus on non-teaching roles and representatives will be on-site to answer questions and conduct interviews for the following positions:
- Classroom assistants (paraprofessionals)
- Building services
- Custodians
- Bus drivers
- Bus helpers
- Cafeteria staff
- Secretarial staff
The district is also accepting applications for roles in nursing, technology, and communications
The May 3 job fair will focus on teaching and certified roles and representatives will be available to answer questions and conduct interviews for the following positions:
- Instructional coaches
- Counselors
- Speech-language pathologists
Starting pay for new teachers is $41,000.
