Elkhart Community Schools to hold public presentation on April's solar eclipse

ELKHART, Ind. - Elkhart Community Schools invites the community to a free informational event on March 28, about the upcoming solar eclipse.

The eclipse is set to happen on Monday, April 8, and Elkhart High School teacher and NASA Solar Eclipse Partner Ambassador Dan Walsh will lead lessons on eclipse safety, and discuss why the eclipse is such a rare, important scientific event.

There will be free eclipse glasses, as well as activities for younger children.

The free eclipse presentation is March 28, at 6:30 p.m. and will take place at the Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (ETI) Building located at 2510 California Rd. in Elkhart.
