Elkhart company celebrates 50 years by giving back

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Dec-O-Art, a solutions-driven printing company, is celebrating its 50th year of operations by supporting the exact community it has served over the years.

The company, founded in 1971, is commemorating its anniversary by donating to various community charities throughout 2021.

The first recipient of Dec-O-Art’s donations is the Crossroads New Start Home.

Crossroads is a transitional home for women who have faced domestic abuse to reenter into society with life skills that allow them to live successfully on their own.

“A lot of people don’t want to admit they are being abused. At Crossroads New Start Home, we provide something that a lot of other places don’t,” said Michelle Barnett, founder of Crossroads. “We provide job training, an opportunity to rebuild a life and reaffirm the belief in oneself, teaching women how to get out and stay out of abusive situations and this generous donation came at just the right time for us.”
