Elkhart County 4-H Fair debuts new road for fairground

The Elkhart County 4-H Fair has been around for now 165 years, but this year they're making a new change - a new road.

Due to past problems with traffic flow, the fair board created a new road just south of the fairgrounds, to alleviate some of the traffic problems.

The road is expected to make entering and exiting the fair more efficiently.

Food vendor Leslie Pence says the road was a problem before the new road was built.

“Trying to get in and out during peak times has been a struggle for everyone, said Leslie Pence, a food vendor.

And now, fair officials are hoping that will change.

Opening day of the Elkhart County 4-H Fair is Friday, July 22.
