Elkhart County 4H Fair gears up for big acts, even bigger turnouts

NOW: Elkhart County 4H Fair gears up for big acts, even bigger turnouts

GOSHEN, Ind.-- The 2026 Elkhart County 4H Fair is here, and officials are expecting around 200,000 people to step foot inside the fair gates throughout the nine-day event.

For the past seven years, Jason Wogoman has served as the president for the Elkhart County 4H Fair, and throughout the span, he has seen it evolve into a week-long mega event for county and surrounding communities.

Through all the tedious work that goes into coordinating an event of this magnitude, there is one thing that never fades for Wogoman – the magic.

“What I’ll do is choose a time where the fairgrounds are absolutely packed, and you just go up in the Ferris wheel, and you can hear all the activity on the grounds, and it’s just like that is what we do, and this is why we are doing it,” Wogoman said.

The fair this year is one of the more anticipated, crossing genres and touting big acts like Ludacris and Brett Young.

There will also be newly implemented events like a motorcycle trick show, and nostalgic rides like the famous Ferris wheel.

The nine-day event will open its doors tomorrow (June 24.) at 8 a.m. and it will run through August 1.
