Elkhart County celebrates 15 years of Quilt Gardens

ELKHART, Ind.,-- Local leaders and the Elkhart County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau are celebrating fifteen years of the beloved Quilt Gardens. With 17 gigantic gardens and 25 hand-painted murals, the gardens have blossomed into a Heritage Trail staple.
Since 2007, volunteers come together every year to produce more than one million blooms!
Tuesday’s event will commemorate the award-winning gardens today from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Essenhaus Conference Center in Middlebury.
Awards will be presented to the nine quilt gardens sites which have participated all 15 years, and will include remarks from Indiana Lieutenant Governor, Suzanne Crouch, Mayor Rod Roberson and more.
