Elkhart County Corrections Officer arrested for sexual misconduct with inmate

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - An Elkhart County Corrections Officer was arrested for engaging in sexual activity with a female inmate earlier this month, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported on Friday, when corrections staff told their supervisor about the January 3 incident with an unidentified corrections officer.
An investigation led them to 26-year-old Malachi Yoder, who was terminated from his position and jailed for sexual misconduct with a service provider.
