Elkhart County crash leaves ones injured, one cited Thursday

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash this afternoon around 4:18 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 33 and C.R. 113 that sent one driver to Elkhart General and resulted in another driver getting cited for crossing the center line.

Authorities say a 2002 GMC Sierra being driven by 39-year-old Bradley Ragland of Elkhart was headed southeast on U.S. 33 at the intersection of C.R. 113 and a 2007 Nissan Altima was heading north on C.R. 113, stopped at the intersection.

Ragland began to turn south onto C.R. 113 when he crossed the center line, and the front end of his Sierra struck the front end of the Altima.

The driver of the Altima was transported to Elkhart General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and Ragland was cited for driving left of center and driving while suspended-infraction.
