Elkhart County Election Board begins mailing early voting ballots
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Election Board began mailing voting ballots on Friday for the 2022 May Primary.
These ballots will be sent to registered voters who requested an early voting ballot by mail.
Voters must submit an early voting by mail application by April 21.
The election board must receive voted ballots by 6 p.m. on May 3.
To request an early voting ballot by mail, contact the county election board at 574-535-6469. The board will ask for some information before mailing the application.
You can also click here to get an application. Voters need their Indiana Driver’s License, State ID number, or the last four digits of their Social Security Number on hand when requesting an application.
Voters must give a reason to vote early by mail, such as being out of town on Election Day or being at least 65 years old.
Registered voters can vote early in person starting April 5.
