Elkhart County Homicide Unit conducting death investigation

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating a shooting death that happened Saturday evening.
The incident occurred in the 54000 block of Independence Street.
The homicide unit confirmed one person died.
The investigation is ongoing.
