ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating after a man was seen falling from a parking garage in the 500 block of Arcade Avenue Tuesday evening.

At 5:19 p.m., officers with the Elkhart Police Department were called to the area for the incident.

The man, who was in his late 70’s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No foul play is suspected but the cause of the fall is still under investigation.

There is no threat to the public.

The incident happened at a parking garage across from the main entrance of Elkhart General Hospital but the man was not an employee.
