Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating after a fatal shooting Saturday morning

ELKHART, Ind. - The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating after a shooting on Saturday morning, in the 700 block of Monroe Street, left 20-year-old Tyquan Page, dead, according to officials.

Officials state, Saturday at approximately 2:34 a.m., dispatch received a shooting with injuries call at 735 Monroe St. at the River Run Apartments.

The Elkhart Police Department dispatched officers and arrived shortly thereafter.

According to the report, upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, inside the building.

Officers rendered first aid until medics arrived, according to officials.

Police say they identified the victim as Tyquan Page, a 20-year-old resident of Elkhart.

Officials say Page was pronounced deceased by medics shortly after.

The Elkhart County Homicide Unit was activated and is handing the investigation.

Officials say no arrests have been made at this time.
