Elkhart County Symphony collaborates with Goshen High School orchestra for February 6 concert
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Symphony is joining forces with the Goshen High School orchestra for the “Next Generation” concert, celebrating the future of music.
The concert will be held at The Lerner Theatre on February 6 at 4 p.m.
"The opportunity to play under the direction of Dr. Soo Han is such a gift," said Jay Pfeifer, Goshen High School director of orchestras. "I am thrilled my students will share the stage with local musicians, some of them colleagues who also teach music in Goshen Community Schools!"
The symphony’s music director, Soo Han, will conduct the concert, which will include the musical selections “Symphony No. 2 in B minor” by composer Alexander Borodin, “Symphony No. 3 in C minor” by composer and iconoclast Florence Price, and “Huapango” by percussionist-conductor Jose Moncayo.
Tickets range from $14 to $35 and can be purchased online or through the box office at 574-293-4469.
Ticket holders are also invited to attend a special pre-concert talk with Soo Han at 3:15 p.m. in the main auditorium. The talk is free for those with tickets to the concert.
