Elkhart County unveils new traffic upgrade

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.-- The City of Elkhart has announced an important upgrade to its busiest intersection and residents are invited to celebrate this significant improvement at a ribbon-cutting ceremony today.

The event will take place on Oct. 21, at 1:00 p.m. at the northwest intersection of Jackson Blvd. and Johnson St.

This key intersection will now benefit from a new traffic management system known as “Wavetronix,” which allows city staff to adjust traffic signals in real-time based on current traffic flow.

The ribbon-cutting will highlight this major upgrade and showcase the project and its future impact to the city.
