The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery that happened at the Tobacco Mart on SR19 in Elkhart Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies say after 3 p.m., a man and a woman entered the store, one of them displayed a handgun and they were given money and other items from the cash register.

The suspects then left the store in a white Kia Sportage.

Deputies say the black male suspect was in his mid 20s wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and checkered shorts.

The white female was in her 20s with sores on her face, approximately 5’04”-5’05" tall, weighing about 120-130 pounds. She had auburn hair with blonde highlights.
